Following Operation Cast Lead (Israeli military operation carried out in Gaza from December 27, 2008 to January 18, 2009) and the publication of the partial Report on this conflict, known as the Goldstone Report, and the relative inertia of major Jewish institutions, some twenty associations Jews or friends of Israel have decided to organize themselves to respond more frontally.

Associated in a collective, called Collectif d'Urgence, they are organizing a large gathering on November 22, 2009 at the Théâtre du Gymnase.

This rally, which proved to be a great success, was held in the presence of a large number of political figures from all sides who all affirmed their unwavering support for Israel in this ordeal.

The success of this operation convinces the associations that took part in it to make the collective last.

In February 2011, it appears that to give more body to the Collective, it was useful to give it a moral personality and to transform it into an association.

It is what will be done on March 26, 2011 by giving birth to the Confederation of the Jews of France and the Friends of Israel.

In April 2015, the Confederation of Jews in France and Friends of Israel decided to expand its structure and acquire greater resources: new headquarters, permanent secretariat, website, presence on social networks , communication documents, conferences… The result is a remarkable dynamic which will result in an explosion in the number of members.

Today, the Confederation of Jews of France and Friends of Israel (CJFAI) is present and represented throughout the national territory: metropolitan France and DOM-TOM. It is present in all regions:
