The prosecution's request comes in the light of the suspect's psychiatric expert report.

The Paris prosecutor's office on Wednesday asked the judge in charge of the investigation into the murder of Sarah Halimi, a woman defenestrated in April in Paris, that the anti-Semitic character be retained in this affair which has provoked great emotion.

The prosecution made this request in view of the "psychiatric expertise" delivered at the beginning of September and “the first elements of the letters rogatory submitted by the investigators”, he specified. According to this expertise, the disorder from which the murderer Kobili Traoré suffered, taken from an “acute delirious puff” after a heavy consumption of cannabis, was “not incompatible with an anti-Semitic dimension”.

On the night of April 3 to 4, Kobili Traoré broke into his 65-year-old neighbor's house, on the third floor of an HLM building in the popular district of Belleville. With cries of "Allah Akbar", interspersed with insults and verses from the Koran, this young Muslim had beaten her on the balcony, before throwing her into the courtyard. “I killed the sheitan” (the demon, in Arabic), had yelled the young man, who was indicted on July 10 for intentional homicide.

    Finally!
This country takes a lot of risks not to recognize the anti-Semitic character of cases that are obvious to everyone. It's serious and sad.
